Ethan Steward has extensive experience as a litigator, having worked at one of the world’s most well respected law firms, based in New York and as a Judge Advocate General for the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Steward’s practice focuses on criminal defense and family law in federal and state courts.

Mr. Steward began his legal career in the United States Marine Corps as a Judge Advocate General (JAG). As a JAG, Mr. Steward litigated over 200 criminal and administrative cases in felony and misdemeanor courts, involving federal military cases on drug possession and distribution, rape, assault, arson, larceny weapons possession and conspiracy. He had an incredible track record of success, with favorable plea deals or acquittals in many of his cases.
After leaving active duty, Mr. Steward worked at a top New York law firm focusing on complex commercial litigation, representing clients at trials in both federal and state courts. The New York Bar Association honored him with the Pro bono Challenge Award in 2008 and 2009, recognizing his commitment to a “unique, aspirational pro bono standard”.
Mr. Steward is a graduate of the University of Chicago School of Law, the #2 ranked law school in the United States. Mr. Steward has taken and passed 3 separate bar exams in the states of New York, New Jersey and California. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York as well as the District of New Jersey. He has been certified as an 18-b juvenile delinquent and family law attorney.
